Kansas
Made in Kansas, run by the Kansas Department of Commerce, highlights Kansas-made products that are marketed to the public and widely available online. The program provides a verified trustmark for use in product packaging and promotional materials, helping online shoppers identify goods that are produced in Kansas. Participation in the program is free, and it aims to showcase a diverse range of consumer-facing products that are manufactured in the state. To qualify, a product must be manufactured in Kansas and meet at least one of these criteria: more than half the components come from Kansas; final assembly takes place in Kansas; or the product’s headquarters are in Kansas with design and/or engineering conducted in the state. Note that agricultural products eligible for the From the Land of Kansas program do not qualify for Made in Kansas. This framework helps ensure that online consumers can reliably identify true Kansas-made goods.
